Small intestine

In Chinese Metaphysics or TCM, The Nature of Sun represents the Small Intestine in the human body. The Sun likes to be FAST and only Water can slow them down!

The above table highlighted represents the "Small Intestine". If your health chart appears anyone of those, you may have chances of having Small Intestine problems!

Understanding the Small Intestine

intestines

The intestines are a long, continuous tube running from the stomach to the anus. Most absorption of nutrients and water happen in the intestines. The intestines include the small intestine (Sun), large intestine (Iron), and rectum.

The small intestine (Sun - small bowel) is about 20 feet long and about an inch in diameter. Its job is to absorb most of the nutrients from what we eat and drink. Velvety tissue lines the small intestine, which is divided into the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum.

The large intestine (Iron - colon or large bowel) is about 5 feet long and about 3 inches in diameter. The colon absorbs water from wastes, creating stool. As stool enters the rectum, nerves there create the urge to defecate.

Small intestine take a major proportion of the food you eat and break it down with enzymes. The. small intestine. is the part of the gastrointestinal tract following the [Soil - stomach]

The Small Intestine and the Stomach work closely together and breakdown food and take the nutrients out of food and let them be absorbed into your bloodstream.

Understanding the Pancreas

Pancreas2

The pancreas (Soil) is a long gland that extends from the duodenum (the upper portion of the small intestine (Sun)) to the spleen. It serves both digestive and endocrine functions.

The pancreas (Soil) aids in digestion by producing enzymes that digest several things, including proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and nucleic acid, a common acid that acts as building block in DNA and is essential for all living things.

The pancreas protects the lining of the small intestine by producing large amounts of alkaline fluid. This base helps neutralize the acid in chyme from the stomach as it enters the small intestine (Sun). This fluid collects in a main duct that joins with a common bile duct. The fluid and bile wait to be released into the duodenum when the stomach releases food.

The pancreas also functions as an endocrine gland by producing two very important hormones that help regulate the level of sugar in the blood: insulin and glucagon.

People whose pancreases do not produce enough insulin have a condition known as diabetes. Type 1 diabetics have a pancreas that does not produce insulin, and they must administer the hormone via injections through their skin. Type 2 diabetics still produce a small amount of insulin.

The pancreas can stop producing insulin for various reasons. Poor diet, obesity, and a genetic disposition for the condition are among the most common causes of diabetes.

Understanding the Cause

The Small Intestine jobs is to absorb nutrients in the food and absorbed into your bloodstream.

And when the Small Intestine is not doing its job due to some disturbance in other parts of the body area, the first sign is the body metabolism is slow!

There are many causes to a Small Intestine problem, and it can be found in our date of birth meaning the date we are born. Some called it hereditary diseases.

The Nature and Environment in our date of birth that causes Small Intestine problems (Problems with the Sun):

·                  The Environment is too dry

·                  The Environment is too Cold

·                  Pig and Snake Clash

·                  Snake and Monkey Combine

·                  Too much Rain

So the Small Intestine problems is not so much on the Small Intestine itself but its surrounding environment. We should try to look at above environment to find out the cause of the Small Intestine problems!

Problems with the small intestine can include:

·                  Bleeding

·                  Celiac disease

·                  Crohn's disease

·                  Infections

·                  Intestinal cancer

·                  Intestinal obstruction

·                  Irritable bowel syndrome

·                  Ulcers, such as peptic ulcer

·                  Constipation

·                  Cancer

·                  Diabetes

In a nutshell, when Soil and Sun are not functioning well, the above symptoms will surface.
